In a clip from Dan Bongino’s podcast, the Dan Bongino show, released on February 2, the podcast host sounded off on foreign fraud in social security. Bongino is expected to serve as the Deputy Director of the FBI. He argues that immigrants are using fake social security numbers to defraud taxpayers out of millions in benefits. Online commenters reacted with their own stories of benefits fraud.

“He discovered a foreign fraud ring in our entitlement program. Folks, even if you are not Against Government Waste and you love government waste, I should say not to use a negative there to describe it,” he said to introduce the clip. “If you’re for government waste, at least wasted here, right? If you’re going to waste government money and piss it away in a toilet bowl, at least wasted on US citizens? Nope, they found nobody cares on the left. Watch this.”

“As we know, there’s a massive amount of fraud in this country. You have, for example, foreign fraud rings. These are foreign nationals who come into the United States,” Stephen Miller said in a clip played on the podcast. ” They use fake social security numbers. They use fake identities to steal billions in taxpayer benefits.” He also offered insight as to how this fraud is committed.

“There’s no way to know until DOGE gains full access exactly how much money we’re talking about, but over a 10 year normal budget window, you could be talking about saving over a trillion dollars by clamping down on massive fraud in our tax and entitlement systems, including, again, those carried out by organized fraud and theft rings,” he explained.

“The very important point in all this is to understand that DOGE are subordinate staffers of the federal government. They are political appointees, just like me, just like everyone else in the White House that serve and answer to the President. So we’re not talking about an outside private entity,” he stated. “We’re talking about the existing Federal staff of the federal government performing their statutory and constitutional duty.”

“Can you imagine fighting this?” Bongino asked. Social media users were quick to chime in. “So the entire world has been getting rich ripping off the American taxpayer and our govt set it up and told We the People it is our debt. The debt should be placed soley on the estates of every federally elected representative since 1960,” one account said.

“And yet my 40 year old son who is 8 months into the 40 month disability qualification process after permanent heart damage …is now notified that they need another echocardiogram (previous showed heart function of 22%) along with a 6 minute stress test and another cardiologist exam,” reacted one user. “I am not against verifications, but the timing between this prolonged process [is crazy.]”
